River
Cumbria, hiking along the Kent River, the changing flow is truly astounding, waterfalls, rapids and stillness, what a joy to behold.

“Any time we risk really hearing someone, letting who they truly are dance against the intimate core of our being, what we give that person is the gift of themselves. When the space in us is an invitation, we find things around us answering by coming alive”.

Healing
There is an ancient Taoist saying. “All man’s problems arise because he is caught between the heaven and the earth.” This is a deep philosophical quotation. It means that in order to heal, a person needs to embrace his or her unique spiritual gifts and bring them into physical expression. In other words, healing is achieved by fully embodying your spirit.

Twenty four hours
The Moons light and stars
Twilight
dawn with birdsong chorus
russling of leaves
flower filled perfume air
fired sun
pink and blue sky

Tis winter & the fields are bare & waste
The air one mass of ‘vapour clouds & storms’
The suns broad beams are buried & oercast & chilly glooms the midday light deforms
Yet comfort now the social bosom warms
Friendship of nature which I hourly prove
Even in this winter scene of frost & storms
Bare fields the frozen lake & leafless grove
Are natures grand religion & true love
(lines 901 - 909)

Steps
I knew that if I kept my eyes open in mindfulness and my steps at ease, I could find my Pure Land. That is why I do not let a single day pass without practicing walking meditation.
